Wayfinding for Treaty Partnership
Event description
Wayfinding for Treaty Partnership is an opportunity to explore what true partnership means to your organization, leadership, and aspirations. Embark upon a facilitated wayfinding process led by Flying Geese founder Faumuina Felolini Maria Tafuna'i and her team of wayfinding guides. Faumuina has 30 years experience working with iwi across Aotearoa and is the founder of indigenous Wayfinding for Strategy models, developed in collaboration with globally-renowned navigator Hoturoa Barclay-Kerr.
This training will help your leadership and organisation:
- Understand the cultural, historical and political context to move from ‘Treaty Training’ to being a Treaty-centered organisation.
- Learn HOW to be a valued Treaty partner to Māori. This includes practical exercises using Faumuina's toolkit of 17 Habits of a Valued Treaty Partner.
- Embrace the special relationship between Māori and non-Māori while upholding the responsibilities under Te Tiriti.
Who is this training for?
- Individuals who are seeking professional development
- Small teams seeking to implement better work practices
- Governance members and teams who want to guide their organisations to become better Treaty Partners
- Individuals, who even though they have had Treaty training before, still struggle to implement it in their work.
We have set four scholarship places at this event for small non-profits to participate.
