'We Speak for the Trees' Book Launch Tour - SA
Event description
A special day to join Clive Blazey AM in discussion as we celebrate our 10 year anniversary of a Diggers Shop at the Botanical Gardens and the launch of his latest book 'We Speak for the Trees' a gardeners guide to solving the climate crisis the world now faces by planting trees as he states...
"Alongside growing our own food, planting trees is the most important thing we as gardeners can do. We must start planting and nurturing trees to cool our cities and to reconnect with nature."
The Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium of South Australia Director, Michael Harvey, will be MC on the day as Dr Tim Johnson, Director at TreeNet.org a horticulturist, naturalist and educator by training, joins Clive for an interactive discussion. Clive will be discussing his motivation for writing 'We Speak for the Trees' and his recommendations while discussing their approach to tree selection in a changing climate.
