This foundational class introduces the art and science of playing with needles and other sharp instruments within kink contexts. We'll focus on building a solid understanding of safer practices, anatomy, and consent while honoring the beauty, intensity, and intimacy of blood and sharps scenes.

Participants will learn:

• Types of sharps and their uses in kink

• Intro to risk profiles

• Essential supplies, setup, and aseptic technique

• Anatomy basics: understanding the skin

• Site selection, basic needle insertion and removal

• Infection control and prevention, cross contamination prevention, and cleanup/disposal protocols

• The basics of bloodborne pathogens, wound care, and scars

• Negotiation, communication, and aftercare for sharps scenes
