Take a day out to nurture your wellbeing in the beautiful environment of Staveley Camp & Native Remnant Forest.Â
In the morning you will have the opportunity to connect with other participants before the two main activities:
- Create nature mandalas in the forest
- Enjoy a fun & freeing yoga session, including deep relaxation, with the wonderful dru yoga teacher Janet Cross
Morning tea will be provided along with a delicious lunch after the morning sessions conclude.
After lunch you can choose how you'd like to spend your time.
- Participate in native tree planting with forest kaitiaki gen de spa
- Relax in hammocks in the forest
- Learn printmaking skills & use nature to print beautiful cards to take home
- Connect with other interesting people
- Take some time for reflection in our Quiet ZoneÂ
- Explore the beautiful native forest on your own
- Enjoy a yummy afternoon tea
Through these experiences, you’ll be putting into practice the 5 Ways to Wellbeing;

This event is part of the October 2024 Wellbeing Weekend - focusing on forest and human wellbeing. It’s organised by Staveley Camp & Connecting Mid Canterbury. Those who help wrangle weeds on Saturday can stay the night at the camp (for free or for a koha) on Saturday evening before joining us for the Wellbeing Day on Sunday.
