    Dive into the fascinating world of Australia's humpback whales with Carla in an immersive and captivating workshop designed just for kids! 

    Join us as Carla, a passionate whale scientist and the visionary behind Association ELI-S Australia, takes young minds on a learning journey.

    Discover the current whereabouts of these majestic creatures, unravel the mysteries of their daily activities, and learn when the next awe-inspiring encounter awaits! In this engaging 60-minute workshop, Carla will share her knowledge through a dynamic blend of a fact-filled presentation, captivating story, and interactive game designed to keep kids both entertained and educated.

    As the founder of Association ELI-S Australia, a non-profit organisation committed to the protection of whales and dolphins through Science, Education, and Conservation, Carla brings a unique perspective that goes beyond the surface. Don't miss out on this opportunity for your child to connect with the wonders of the marine world in a fun and educational setting.
     

    Conditions of booking

    • Suitable for children 5 years and above 
    • All children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult guardian
    • Parents/ adult guardians accompanying children must pay for the activity.

    Photographs, videos and voice recordings

    Randwick City Council staff may on occasion take recordings of participants during activities (including photographs, videos and voice recordings) that could be used for the following purposes:

    • educational or community information purpose
    • Council displays and promotions of community education events
    • to complement the promotion of Randwick's Marine and Coastal Program.

    If you DO NOT wish for the participant’s recording to be used according to these conditions, please indicate this during the booking process.

    Cancellation conditions

    This activity may be cancelled due to insufficient bookings or poor weather. Participants will be advised in the event the activity changes or cancellation occurs. All care has been made in the preparation of the January 2024 Marine and Coastal Discovery Program, but some changes may occur due to circumstances beyond the control of Randwick City Council. Refunds will be provided for cancellation up to 1 day prior to the event and in the event of cancellation by Council.
