The Quiet Hour September - Breasties Gentle Yoga and Meditation (Coomera)
Description
A Sunday morning just for you 🌿
Join us for a gentle Sunday morning of yoga, breathwork and mediation, followed by a morning tea and a chat with women who get it.
It's for anyone touched by breast cancer - newly diagnosed, midway through treatment, years into survivorship, or somewhere in between. You don't need to be at any particular stage, and you don't need to have done yoga before.
The session is led by a qualified yoga and wellbeing facilitator who understands what bodies in and after treatment can and can't do. Move as much or as little as you like. Take a chair, lie down, the whole time, leave early if you need to (nobody will bat an eyelid).
Then we put the mats away and sit down together over morning tea, with others who don't need anything explained to them, and understand what you are going through.
FAQs
- Do I need to bring anything?
You do not need to bring any yoga equipment, that is all provided. You can bring a water bottle and it's a good idea to wear comfortable clothing.
- I cannot get down onto the floor, can I still do yoga in a chair?
Absolutely, please just let us know when you book your ticket!
- I haven't had a breast cancer diagnosis, can I still buy a ticket and join?
This program was designed to be a connection event for breast cancer patients, however if you have another type of cancer and want to join, please contact us directly to discuss this. It may be that these sessions are not suitable for everyone.
