Event description

The Zonta Club of Cairns is proud to host the Break the Bias - Art without Boundaries event at Oasis Novotel resort Cairns.

Be entertained with live music and enjoy artwork by a range of local artists.

Finger food will be provide and the bar will be open for you to purchase the drinks of your choice. (Please don't drink and drive)

All proceeds go to local efforts to make the world a better and safer place for women and girls.

Zonta International partners with the UN agencies, UNFPA, UN Women and UNICEF to support projects focused on issues related to health, education, equality and human rights, economic empowerment, gender-based violence, child marriage, human trafficking and safe cities. Zonta Cairns efforts raise valuable funds that allow the club to support our commitments to our local, national and international projects. In the coming Biennium, we have committed to support the following projects: Ruth’s Women’s Shelter, Warringu, The Women’s Centre; MAR Inc. and Angel Babies; CWA Bushfire Relief and the club’s ongoing Service commitments to McGrath Foundation – Breast Care cushions, Birthing Kits – BKFA and Days for Girls; and Scholastic Encouragement Awards contributing to tertiary education of very deserving Year 12 girls with a strong interest in school and community.
