Coral Reef Card Games: Play, Learn & Protect Our Reefs

Discover three educational Coral Reef Card Games, created by ANU students and set within the vibrant coral reef community of Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean.

Through interactive play, the games bring coral reef science to life, exploring reef health, threats to marine ecosystems, conservation challenges and approaches to reef management.

Hear from environmental scientist and marine expert Dr Jennie Mallela, who led the project, as well as the students behind the games. Then dive into an afternoon of gameplay, fun and learning, discovering the incredible marine life of coral reefs and why protecting these ecosystems matters.

Come along, play a game, learn something new and explore how we can help protect our beautiful coral reefs.
