Coral Reid - Float Catching - Brunswick, Naarm/Melbourne
Description
Hello there,
It would be a delight to see you at the Melbourne performance of Float Catching, a microgig taking place in a cozy space in Brunswick on Saturday 24th October.
Float catching is a performance project by Coral Reid, exploring the links between folk music and knitting, along with other fibrecrafts. There has been tune writing, there has been research, and of course there has been knitting.
Starting at 5pm (doors from 4:30), expect a single set performance of newly composed fiddle tunes performed solo and Coral's musings on the subject, followed by a general discussion and chat. Expect tea and sweet treats, and do please bring along your portable crafts.
If you want to know more about the project, check out the video here.
