Join us for this free community screening of Corals’ Last Stand, as we explore the threat of gas giant Woodside to WA’s Scott Reef and its precious inhabitants.

Corals' Last Stand follows the voyage of a team of prominent Australians, including author Tim Winton and musician John Butler, as they travel to WA's Scott Reef to bring worldwide attention to the impact that plans for gas drilling will have on this special place. This half-hour documentary asks whether Australia can afford to exploit this untapped gas reserve in a time of growing international concern over rising global temperatures.

Will Scott Reef and the life it supports be the collateral damage of Woodside’s dirty gas?

🐢 Join us for an evening of action, featuring the half-hour documentary of Corals’ Last Stand, hear from leading campaigners, and have an opportunity to take action and let the Australian Government know that Scott Reef must be saved from Woodside’s plans.

🐢 Where is Scott Reef?

Off the coast of WA, perched on the edge of the continental shelf, 300km from the Australian mainland, lies Scott Reef. This ancient coral atoll, isolated for millions of years from other reef systems and mainland influences, has developed its own subpopulations of unique species. But Scott Reef is under threat. The reef sits on a huge reservoir of gas known as the Browse Basin. Global corporation Woodside and its joint venture partners want to drill for gas and oil under the reef ecosystem.
