Inside the Vault: Funding Pathways for Mining, Energy & Resources Innovation

Raising capital for industrial innovation is rarely straightforward. For founders and SMEs operating in the mining, energy and resources sectors, the pathway to funding often involves navigating a mix of R&D incentives, angel investment, growth capital and traditional lending — each suited to different stages of a business.

Join us inside the historic bank vault for a CORE Connect conversation exploring how these capital pathways actually work in practice. Representatives from organisations including Radium Capital and Perth Angels will share insights into when different types of funding make sense, what investors and lenders look for, and the common mistakes businesses make when structuring their capital.

Rather than focusing on pitching, this session will unpack the realities behind funding decisions — helping founders and operators better understand the capital stack and how to position their business for the right type of investment or finance.

Expect a candid, practical discussion followed by networking with others building and supporting innovation across Western Australia’s mining, energy and resources ecosystem.
