Critically acclaimed country music artists Corey Legge (with his band) and The New Graces are coming to Smokey Dan’s on Friday 25th June for a major coheadline event. They will be joined by two of the best acts in the region with the legendary Ron Callo (with his band) and emerging star Felicity Dowd playing as special guests.
The show is set to start at 6pm with doors at 5pm. It’s an outdoor, covid safe and family-friendly event in the beautiful Smokey Dan’s courtyard.
There are two ticket options available, General Admission or Food Included. Food Included tickets come with a $30 food and drinks voucher, which will save approximately 30% on food and drinks for the night.
COREY LEGGE
Corey Legge plays heartfelt Alt-Country and Folk-Rock, drawing influence from his wholesome upbringing amongst the fertile pastures surrounding Bega (NSW). Corey has released two albums in two years, ‘Driving out of Eden’ (2019) and ‘Some Days’ (2020), landing him high rotation on ABC Country, and regular airplay on KIX Country, Double J and Triple J. Corey’s most popular single to date ‘I Don’t Know What I’ve Got Myself in For’ landed at #2 on the Australian Country Radio charts, which led to four film clips being added to CMT on Foxtel. Corey’s music has also been shared by the legendary James Taylor.
The recipient of a prestigious ‘Young Regional Artist Scholarship’ from Create NSW in 2018, Corey subsequently flew to New Zealand to record his debut solo album ‘Driving out of Eden’ with award-winning producer Ben Edwards (Julia Jacklin, Marlon Williams). Corey returned to New Zealand in late 2019 to record his follow up album, ‘Some Days’, which was released on September 1st 2020. The album title track was a semi-finalist in the 2020 International Songwriting Competition.
Corey’s 2nd album ‘Some Days’ features the singles ‘Last Night I Dreamt of You’, ‘Fireball’, ‘Some Days’ and ‘I Don’t Know What I’ve Got Myself in For’, and has been warmly received by the media and fans alike. Corey is set to release his 3rd album in 2022, with extensive Australian and European album launch tours.

Melanie Horsnell, Kate Burke and Robyn Martin are all seasoned identities in the Australian music scene. Songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, their music is flavoured with guitar, double bass, mandolin, fiddle, banjo and three part harmonies plus a little desert heat-haze that could only be Australian.
Between them, they weave tales of farmers, hippies, mothers, sea farers, history, lovers, the ordinary, and the mysterious. Their songs tell stories of their Australia: desert country steeped in history, wild bush dances, snowy mountains and remote swimming holes, generations of family life on the land, waking up in a sunny Sydney bedroom, returning to favourite old pub to play music with friends.
RON CALLO
Ron Callo is an acclaimed South Coast country musician and indigenous singer-songwriter, who has been performing in the local region and beyond in various acts since 1984. His music is aired nationally and played regularly across all major Aboriginal radio stations.
Ron's compositions are built on his unique vibrato voice and deeply reflective lyrics. He has kept crowds captivated with his moving performances and unique songwriting for decades.
In recent times Ron has been busy recording his music and playing significant cultural events such as the Saltwater Freshwater Festival and Survival Day 2021 at Barragga Bay.
FELICITY DOWD
At only 17 years of age, Felicity Dowd has the wisdom and understanding of a much more mature singer-songwriter. Instead of focussing on teenage angst and matters of the heart, she uses her voice to speak up about cultural, moral and governmental issues that affect her deeply and concern her future as a young Australian. She has a passion for blending her various influences of Country, Folk, Blues, Jazz and Pop into her acoustic repertoire of modern classics and original compositions.
‘Blue Skies’, her first single released early March 2021, debuted at number one on the Country Itunes chart and AMRAP chart in its first week. Hailing from Bega, Felicity Dowd is the NSW Folk Federation 2020 ‘Young Folk Artist of the Year’, 2020 Tamworth Songwriters Association talent quest winner and a current student within the 2020/2021 Talent Development Project. At this year’s Tamworth Songwriters Association Salute Awards, Felicity won both the Novice and Youth Categories for her songs ‘Blue Skies’ and ‘When the Party Is Over’.
