Transparency International's 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index

The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) is the world’s leading global indicator of public sector corruption, ranking 180 countries and territories on a scale from 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean).

Over the course of 2024, Australia’s CPI score rose to 77, lifting the country back into the global top 10 after several years of decline and stagnation. This improvement suggests renewed momentum - but can it be sustained?

With the 2025 CPI results released on 11 February, this event will explore what Australia’s recent rise reflects, what the latest ranking may reveal about the strength of our integrity systems, and what further action is required to protect progress.

Speakers include: Shadow Attorney-General Andrew Wallace, Independent MP for Wenworth Allegra Spender, Professor AJ Brown, Chair, Transparency International Australia and Clancy Moore, CEO, Transparency International Australia.
