Cosmos Ensemble

Cosmos Ensemble is Peyo Pappadopoulos’ outlet for exploring the many dimensions of improvised music. Having previously focused on the fusion explosion of the 1970s, Cosmos Ensemble now ventures into the realm of post-bop — a defining sound of the 1960s. This new sonic direction calls for a fresh line-up, with the ensemble pared back to a trio. Peyo is joined by fellow Conservatorium alumni Connor Perkins (double bass) and Harold Bryson-Dean (drums) to explore the works of Joe Henderson and Albert Ayler, alongside a selection of original compositions.
