Joint Show: Cosmos Ensemble & The Molly Quantet

Sunday, August 17th marks a joint show between the Cosmos Ensemble & The Molly Quantet. Exploring sounds of folk, fusion and more.

Cosmos Ensemble

Cosmos Ensemble is Peyo Pappadopoulos’ outlet for exploring the many dimensions of improvised music. The ensemble now has a keen eye on the spiritual jazz and fusion of the 1970s.

Returning alongside Peyo are fellow Conservatorium alumni:

  • Connor Perkins (double bass)

  • Harold Bryson-Dean (drums)

  • Joel Sanchez-Carn (Guitar)

The Molly Quantet

The Molly Quantet shares a unique blend of jazz and folk. It is led by Meanjin based vocalist, songwriter and guitarist, Molly Quant, whose artistic output is driven by storytelling and playful experimentation.

Through honest songwriting, creative arrangements of jazz standards and intricately expressive vocal performance, Molly connects with all members of her audience.

The Quantet features some of the finest young musicians:

  • Oli Radcliffe (keys)

  • Ky Fulwood (bass)

  • Ellis Yunker (drums)

  • Oli Mann (trumpet)
