Irish airs meet Italian sonatas: an hour of music and storytelling with Irish guest cellist Carina Drury, by the sea in Cottesloe.

Join us at The Heritage Collective in Cottesloe for an hour of music and storytelling with international guest cellist Carina Drury.

The Fiddler and the Bard is a celebration of Irish and Italian music in 18th-century Dublin. When the Italian virtuoso Francesco Geminiani met Turlough O'Carolan, Ireland's great bard, he challenged him to compose in the Italian style. The result was Carolan's Concerto, and a meeting of two great traditions. Hear their story on violin and two cellos: heartfelt Irish airs, laments and dances alongside elegant Italian sonatas.
