An estimated 21% of adults have experienced violence, emotional abuse, or economic abuse by a cohabiting partner since the age of 15.

This targeted session will equip support and care frontline to identify and respond in evidenced based ways when domestic and family violence is being experienced by the people they work with.


Build your knowledge of:

  • The ways DFV can be experienced
  • Behaviours that are considered domestic violence (within a Queensland Courts view)
  • Coercive Control 
  • How to raise a concern with someone you support or identify DFV
  • The basics of Safety Planning for individuals who disclose DFV
  • Domestic Family Violence Screening Tips
  • Overview of the Level 1 (CRAFS ) DFV common risk and safety framework
  • Programs offered by Edon Place to assist. 

This is a crucial workshop for all workers who assist at the frontline of community.

Edon Place is not-for-profit community based organisation providing specialist domestic and family violence support services in the Bundaberg and North Burnett regions. 

With a 45 year history, it provides a wide range of programs to families affected by domestic and family violence including short-term crisis accommodation, and other assistance and support to women and children escaping domestic and family violence.
