Courageous Conversations about Race™: Achieving Racial Equity in your organisation, your interactions and beyond.
Event description
We talk a lot about inclusion and diversity – but are we including racial equity as part of this conversation?
Glenn E. Singleton, internationally renowned speaker, author and creator of COURAGEOUS CONVERSATION® will be back in Melbourne Australia, to present a powerful workshop on race and racial equity: Courageous Conversations about Race: Achieving Racial Equity in your organisation and beyond.
After working with individuals and organisations internationally on racial equity, Glenn will deliver a unique opportunity for those serious about developing deep understandings and ways of engaging with difficult conversations around race and racial equity.
Courageous Conversation™ Workshop will introduce participants to the Courageous Conversation Protocol™ so that they can lead for racial equity and inclusion, cultural responsiveness, and transformation. The workshop is designed to guide participants to explore the essential question, “in the context of ever present racial and ethnic diversity, how can I lead for a more racially equitable Australia?”
What is Courageous Conversation™?
Courageous Conversation™ is utilising the Four Agreements, Six Conditions and Compass in order to engage, sustain and deepen intra-racial, and inter-racial dialogue about race, and is an essential foundation for examining and addressing institutionalised cultures and structures that promote racial disparities.
Courageous Conversations about Race: Achieving Racial Equity in your organisation and beyond will cover the Three tiers (Six Conditions) as a tool for leading Courageous Conversations about Race. Participants will also consider how to engage the Courageous Conversation™ in their personal and professional lives – turning passion into impactful practice, essential in moving Beyond Diversity™ in the workplace and in our everyday lives to effect change.
