Courageous Conversations Workshop: Listen with Respect. Respond with Courage.

Courageous Conversations is an interactive workshop that encourages participants to reflect on racism, inclusion, and respect within our communities and the systems we work within.

We are so pleased to have Jenae Tien-Jenkins from Expand Your Library, Marcela Lapertosa from Value Learning and Latin Oz, and Syed Asghar Naqvi from Pakistan Australian Cultural Association facilitate this important session.

Through guided discussions, presentations, and group activities, participants will explore ways to foster more inclusive relationships, identify shared challenges, and develop practical solutions to strengthen social cohesion.

A key part of the session will be introducing a practical framework for identifying racism, barriers, and the systems and processes that can enable them to persist. Participants will then work collaboratively to consider what practical tools, strategies and actions could be developed with their communities and adapted to the needs of individual organisations.

The workshop is designed to move beyond identifying challenges towards co-creating practical, community-informed solutions that can be applied within organisations, services and community settings.

The event will bring together community members, facilitators, and government representatives to exchange ideas, build understanding, and contribute to a more equitable and inclusive future for everyone.

A light lunch will be provided.
