LET'S CELEBRATE MENOPAUSE

Let's kick sexism and agism into touch and instead see the menopause as a time of celebration, when we can celebrate a radiant period of wisdom and grace.
Studies show the way a culture perceives menopause affects how women in that culture experience menopause. In countries where aging for women wasn’t seen as negative like Sweden and Italy, women report fewer physical symptoms.
When reproduction stops, women are often at a pivotal time in their career with more freedom than ever from other demands on their time so they're free to lead and focus on self.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO CELEBRATE MENOPAUSE?

The idea of celebrating menopause doesn’t mean we grin and bear our symptoms or paint on a fake smile as we ignore our dry vaginas. There’s no need to hide any of the challenges menopause presents. However, it’s time to stop solely focusing on these challenges and choose to invite in the strength our body has offered us through the years … and will continue to for years to come.

WHAT CAN EMPLOYERS DO TO CREATE A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD?

Menopause Friendly says that:

"By addressing the needs of those experiencing menopause, employers attract talent by demonstrating that their workplace is a great place for people to work and thrive through all stages of life.

25% of women experiencing menopause consider leaving work. Providing flexibility and adapting workplace policies to become menopause friendly can help to reduce turnover."
