This May, communities across the world will roll up their sleeves for The Epic Day of Service – a global day of action organised by Rotary where local volunteers come together to make a visible difference.

Here in Lane Cove, Cove Volunteers will be lending a hand at the Lane Cove Toy Library, helping refresh and clear the backyard and rear outdoor areas so this much-loved local space can continue supporting families and children.

A few hours of help can make a real impact.

What we’ll be doing

Tasks may include:

• Clearing outdoor items
• Sweeping and general clean-up
• Light gardening and weeding
• Removing unwanted items
• Tidying shared spaces
• General helping hands

Who’s welcome

Everyone is welcome.

Individuals, friends, parents, older teens and locals who’d like to give back. No experience needed, and there’ll be jobs for all skill levels.

What to bring

• Closed Shoes
• Water bottle
• Gloves
• Rake, outdoor broom, hammer (if you have!)

Good to know

Come for as long as you can. Whether you stay for one hour or the full session, every bit of help makes a difference.
