    Event description

"Cowboy Lounge" is a foray into the unique and undefinable style of Skin and Bone's "acoustic swing".  Hailing from Ōtepoti, Dunedin,  Skin and Bone are the product of very longstanding musical friendships. Get ready for some autentic 1930’s style bluegrass swing.   Already well-known in Dunedin for their energetic tunes and original songs, we are in for a treat here in Arrowtown, as "Cowboy Lounge" takes you through a tour of acoustic rock, contemporary folk music, and that 'old style swing'. The band has recently released their first album ‘Last Bus to Brockville’ featuring a collection of these original tunes together with some old time favourites, a highlight being their close-harmony vocals.  In keeping with Tiny Room Concert's reputation for only the finest musicianship, "Cowboy Lounge" is a show you won't want to miss.

With their infectious energy, impressive musical pedigree, and captivating blend of styles, Cowboy Lounge is a show you won't want to miss.

    More about the band:
Mike Moroney and John Dodd have performed together for over 30 years in the iconic folk band The Chaps, that undertook 3 tours of Europe, many tours of NZ, and released 3 albums.  Anna Bowen is a gifted fiddler and also crucial to the band’s groove, and to complement this they wished for another solo instrument, clarinet specifically, and discovered the wonderful Emily Sterk hiding out in the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra. The clarinet/fiddle mix makes our sound distinctive, and when Anna moves over to the mandolin it only makes the rhythm more driving. Steve "Huddy" Hudson joins them on drums.

Skin and Bone have just released "Last Bus To Brockville".
