CPD - Low Energy / High Performance Homes

Have you been a bit cold lately?

Had the heater running most of the day and night to keep warm?

This is the case for most Australians in winter and that indoor heated air is often loaded with mould causing moisture and, in the case of wood or gas fires – other carcinogenic pollutants. With energy costs spiking, our homes are making us sicker and poorer.

Accepting the climate crisis and the snail like pace the NCC addresses this, it’s time to delve deeper into the requirements that architects and builders must design and build healthy, low energy homes, lasting homes.

But what does this look like and how is it done safely, in a manner that doesn’t have unintended consequences. It’s time to take out the guess work and delve into the science of how it works.

Join us to hear from experts in this field who have been on this journey for decades and have the data and the details, to back up their work.

Speakers:

Jessica Allen // Climasure
Matthew Carland // Carland Constructions & The Mindful Builder Construction Podcast
Marc Bernstein // Melbourne Design Studios
