Description

Join us for the annual Child's Play Trivia Australia, a beloved part of the pilgrimage to PAXAus! Held each year (except 2025 - we had stuff going on), this exciting trivia night supports a wonderful cause: Child's Play Charity.

With the generous backing of our incredible community and past sponsors like Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro, this event has raised more than $60,000 since 2014. Every dollar (outside of ticketing fees) goes directly to Child's Play Charity's Australian partner hospitals, providing therapeutic games and technology to brighten the lives of sick children in hospitals.

Come be part of a heartwarming evening filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the joy of giving back, all while helping bring comfort and smiles to the kids who need it most!

FOR THE CHILDREN!

FAQs

  • UPDATE: The Remote Raffle tickets have sold out!

Sorry if you've not yet got some tickets to the Remote Raffle, but sales have now closed.

The 2026 Remote Raffle prize pack currently consists of:

    • 3 month Xbox Games Plus Unlimited code

    • Zombicide: 2nd Edition

    • Parks: 2nd Edition

    • Finspan (it’s Wingspan, but with FISH!)

    • PAX Aus 2016 Black Tshirt

    That’s around $1300 value! WOW!

More things may be added, depending on any late prize donations. We know the point of the RR is to give people who can't make it on the night a chance to participate, but we really hope the winner is at least in Melbourne for PAX, otherwise shipping will be so expensive. But that's okay, because it's all #ForTheKids!

  • There is only one/are only [some number fewer than a full table] of us. Can we still buy a ticket on a table?

YES! With only a few days to go, we've opened up all tickets to anyone. Whether you're just you, a triumvirate of whimsy, or an entire table's worth of 8 people, find somewhere you'll fit and you can purchase the appropriate number of tickets.

  • I have a whole table of friends, do we need to book together?

There are a few different ways to do it!

    1) One person books all 8 tickets (what is called a "Whole Table") for a specific table number, and then y'all sort payment out amongst yourselves.

    2) Someone books a ticket for a specific table (what is called a "Single Ticket") and then tells their mates what table # to book. Y'all can just select remaining tickets for that table when you purchase.

  • Help! I think some random booked a ticket on our table?

As the event grows closer, we've opened up all tickets to anyone, so maybe you're about to meet a new friend?

HOWEVER, if you do have a full group of 8 who would like to be on one table, someone who is already booked on the table should shoot us an email at cptaus@gmail.com with a list of the names of people who should be on your table (already booked/looking to book). We can then check the bookings and contact anyone who seems to have lost their way and figure out where they are meant to be.

If anyone in your party is freaking out at the unexpected lack of space, we would encourage waiting until we rearrange tickets before purchasing so as not to cause a cascade of panic on other tables. Breathing exercises may also help.

For privacy reasons, we will not share the names of other booking with you, we can only confirm or deny if there is someone who is not listed.

  • Booking Fees?

Yup, Humanitix charges 2.5% + 50c per paid ticket. We have decided to wrap these fees into the total ticket cost, rather than showing it as an additional charge at checkout.

But if you decide to add a donation of, for example $10, the 2.5% will be deducted from that amount so your actual donation will be $7.5.

Humanitix gives 100% of their profits to charity though, which aligns with our vibe.

  • Is this venue accessible?

We think so! If you have specific concerns, please email us at cptaus@gmail.com

  • Is there food?

Yep! The Angry Dog have food. You can browse the menu here:
    https://www.theangrydog.com.au/menu1

They also allow BYO food and - per the information on their website - have an Arrangement with several restaurants in the area to have their food delivered to the venue. :)

    So many options!

  • How do I get there?

    It's a 27 min walk from MCEC.

But if you want to plan ahead (like Michelle on our team who is writing these FAQs) here is a google maps link:
