Join us for Cracking Facilitation, a two-day gathering designed to crack open facilitation processes, explore uncertainty and volatility, and embrace humility and humour. The world needs more cracking facilitators!

Cracking Facilitation is hosted on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country by FODW (Facilitation One-Day Wonder) and AFN (Australasian Facilitators Network) with support from IAF (International Association of Facilitators). This professional/peer development event at the beautiful Abbotsford Convent in Collingwood, Melbourne offers fantastic opportunities for experienced and emerging facilitators.

Day 1 (Thursday 12 September)

  • A selection of cracking sessions exploring creativity, inclusive processes, divergent views, music and soundscapes, and more
    8:30am–4:30pm (registration from 8:30am; opening circle 9:00am)
  • Social gathering - community and connection
    4:30pm - 7:00pm | Retreat Hotel Abbotsford
    Come along to build new relationships and celebrate established ones. Be prepared to be surprised at this one-of-a-kind, social gathering. Suitable for introverts and extroverts alike. Traditional pub feel, great food and drinks, and friendly staff.

Day 2 (Friday 13 September)

  • An emergent program using Harrison Owen's Open Space approach and building on experiences from Day 1.
    9:00 - 4:30pm (Open Space theme to be announced)

Accessibility: The Convent building (including Community and Linen rooms) is wheelchair accessible. Refer to Abbotsford Convent Access for more information and access map.

Inclusion: There are gendered and gender-neutral toilets within the Convent precinct. View the Public Toilet Map to find a restroom of your preference. Convent patrons are welcome to use any restroom that matches their gender identity or expression.
