Event description

La Trobe University will be hosting guest speaker Laurie Burns McRobbie. Laurie is Head of the Centre of Excellence for Women in Technology at Indiana University and is a long-term advocate for gender equity and diversity in STEM, especially tech.

During this event, Laurie will discuss insights on effective strategies and actions that disrupt bias, combat barriers and discrimination and drive improvements in gender equity in STEM. She will also talk about inclusive technologies and innovations that enable inclusion and accelerate gender equity.

Laurie's talk will be facilitated by Professor Wenny Rahayu, Dean of the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Science
