Crackscape: Attending to the In-Between

Look a little closer at the streets you walk through every day.

Join artist and architect Elena Larriba for Crackscape, a guided walk discovering temporary ceramic artworks along Lygon Street in Carlton. Nestled into cracks, worn surfaces and the spaces around everyday infrastructure, these handmade pieces draw attention to details we often pass without noticing.

Elena will share the observations and making processes behind the works, from exploring and scanning the street to shaping and firing the clay. There will be time to look closely, ask questions and talk about how small interventions can change our experience of a familiar place.

No art or ceramics knowledge is needed - everyone with an interest in looking at the city differently is welcome.

Free entry. Bookings required. Limited to 12 participants.
