Craft-along Cinema: Thelma (2024)

Gribblehirst Hub presents Craft-along Cinema, a special free screening of Thelma as part of Golden Festival 2026. Cosy up on our comfy couches, and bring a craft project you can work on in your lap. We'll provide some snacks and refreshments.

Thelma Post, a feisty 93-year-old grandmother, gets conned by a phone scammer pretending to be her grandson and sets out on a treacherous quest across Los Angeles, accompanied by an aging friend and his motorized scooter, to reclaim what was taken from her.

• 6:00pm - Doors open

• 6:20pm - Welcome and housekeeping

• 6:30pm - Movie starts (runtime 97 minutes, rated M for offensive language)

• 8:15pm Close

Please register to secure a seat. Priority bookings are for our older community members, general seats will open up from 1 October.

NB: Our venue is not fully accessible. Access to the Gribblehirst Hub main entrance is by stairs. Stair-free access suitable for walkers, and manual wheelchairs is available via the park entrance at the end of Begbie Place. Please ring the doorbell for entry.
