Craft Club
Give your child the experience of learning and practising traditional hand crafts, as they weave, stitch and assemble their way through a fun and relaxing 8-week term. Kids will use tactile, natural and sustainable materials, learning time-honoured techniques while still putting their own spin on things, making the world of traditional crafts feel personal, relevant and fun.
Kids will join professional artist Sophie Honess, whose stitched and woven artworks have featured in national magazines, the walls of the National Gallery of Australia and more. Sophie has learned a multitude of practical craft skills, which she uses to create personal and beautiful artworks. Sophie is a thoughtful, engaged and encouraging teacher, bonding with kids over a love of art.
Craft Club is a great experience for kids looking for a low-stress, friendly activity that features mindfulness, creativity and fun. Sessions feature regular breaks to relax, appreciate the Community Centre’s garden, and to get some energy out.

These classes are for kids who enjoy crafting.
Venue
Held at The Tamworth Community Centre, a heritage listed building with modern amenities, as well as access to a large grassy fenced courtyard area for kids to play on.
