About Miguel:
Miguel Heatwole is a choral director, composer, and leader of folk-singing sessions. Over many years his contagious enthusiasm for promoting community singing, whether live or recorded, has brought many people together to share and learn new skills and insights.
His songs are wide-ranging and embrace political satire, environmental causes, the responsible enjoyment of alcohol, and also address the vital concerns of the peace activist, the family cat, or anyone in the welcome grip of passionate attraction.
He composes in folk and classical styles for Ecopella, a community choir that he’s led since 1998, for his vocal ensemble Andsome Friends, and has also had string quartets professionally recorded in the USA. His work is published on bandcamp.com where you may find 298 tracks offered for sale, or for up to three streamings free of charge.
