Crafternoon
Event description
Crafternoon | South Sydney Craft Group
Join us for a fun-filled Craft-ernoon!
Unleash your creativity and connect with fellow craft enthusiasts in South Sydney.
Want to connect with your community?
This is your chance to get to know people of all ages in your corner of Sydney.
This is a relaxed, unstructured afternoon where you can BYO craft or learn how to make something new.
If you don't have a craft project to bring, you can help make knitted Trauma Teddies for people doing it tough.
There are also simpler craft activities for kids available.
Program:
2pm: Meet at Beverly Hills Baptist Church on 9 Warrawee Place, Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills is a suburb near Hurstville (sadly, not LA!). Parking can be limited on Warrawee Place, but there are spots on Tooronga Tce or Ponyara Rd.
2.15pm: It's time to hear about our craft for the day, which will be the Trauma Teddy project. Or you can simply BYO craft.
Note: There is no 'formalised' program. This is more about giving you a relaxed space to be creative alongside community members of all ages, from kids through to seniors.
All ideas for crafts are welcome, and we will accommodate multiple 'craft stations' if space allows.
There are no fees involved in this group. Materials are provided free of charge by Beverly Hills Baptist Church (BHBC) members.
The group is affiliated with BHBC, but this is a zero-pressure event (i.e. the space is simply provided by BHBC for you to enjoy craft).
All warmly welcomed. Come as you are.
