Creating sacred adornments and activating them with embodied Bellydance.

Join with sisters for a transformative day where the art of crafting meets the essence of dance. Guided by experienced facilitators with over 25 years of combined expertise, this workshop invites you to explore the deep connection between crafting your dance adornments and infusing them with your unique energy.  This is a wonderful opportunity to come together in unity and empowerment as we dance, craft, and uplift each other.

All sisters, regardless of experience or background, are warmly welcomed.

Alys Shilo - Hexian

For more than ten years, Alys Shilo has been a captivating presence on stage and in sacred circles, creating custom costumes for herself and her fellow dancers. Through her brand 'Hexian,' she embodies the spirit of femininity, infusing each piece with positive energy and intention. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted using high-quality materials, designed to be cherished as a future heirloom.

At Crafting Dance Alchemy, Alys welcomes you to explore self-expression and ornamentation. Under her expert guidance, you will create a personalised sacred dance belt made to size and mirroring your individuality. Using a variety of provided metal elements, chains, crystals, and embellishments, she will assist you in crafting a masterpiece that echoes your personal dance journey.

In addition to providing all necessary tools and materials, Alys offers a range of additional components available for purchase, allowing you to continue your creative journey beyond the workshop. Whether you're drawn to embodied bellydance or seek to adorn yourself for other styles of movement, your personal creation will serve as a potent symbol of empowerment and grace.

Malika Moon - Embodied Bellydance

Malika’s movement experience expands beyond linear knowledge and the 11+ years she’s been bellydancing. After decades battling with overwhelming shame and total disconnection from the heart and body, Malika found her way onto a deep healing path which was intricately entwined with her Bellydance journey.  Malika's unique path has inspired her gentle & compassionate facilitating style; and her devotion to personal evolution via presence & embodiment is woven throughout her Bellydance offerings.

During Crafting Dance Alchemy, Malika will take you on a sacred journey of inner exploration and empowerment as she weaves together the transformative elements of embodied movement, bellydance, meditation and ritual throughout our immersive workshop. Malika will guide you to connect with your highest self, inviting you to delve deep into your inner sanctuary and awaken your innate potential. Through her nurturing presence, we'll tap into the wellspring of nourishment & wisdom held within our bodies; infusing and activating our adorned creations with the radiance and ancient power of the feminine, as we dance in celebration and invocation of our divine essence.


Exchange for participation in the workshop

Workshop Fee: $180 Early Bird Booking until May 5th (after early bird $199)
Materials Contribution: $75

Your contribution supports the creation of sacred space, expert guidance, materials, and an immersive experience.

Creative spirit
Any special materials or sacred objects for your belt
Comfortable clothes for crafting (Feel free to bring something you feel incredible wearing for the bellydance journey)
Water/hydration
Nourishing Lunch (We'll have some light refreshments available. We have access to the fridge and kitchen.)

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

- No credits/refunds for workshop cancellations, however they can be resold/transferred to another person if for some reason you cannot attend. Please advise facilitators if you are transferring your ticket.

- If in the case of facilitator illness, major widespread flooding, fires, lockdowns or some other major unexpected event; the workshop will either be put on hold for a maximum of 4 weeks or otherwise refunded in the case the workshop is cancelled.

- Dance lessons can involve risk of personal injury. While Malika takes all reasonable care in the conduct during this workshop, she accepts no responsibility for injury or loss caused during this workshop. You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and mentally fit for the lesson and during the lesson, you must at all times take care of your own personal safety.

- It is your responsibility to advise Alys and Malika of any injuries or health conditions, whereby they may recommend you get medical clearance for attending the workshop.

- If you participate in the workshop with any kind of medical condition, you do so at your own risk. If you're not sure if you can participate in this workshop with your medical condition/injury, it is recommended that you discuss your situation with Alys or Malika prior to booking, as refunds will not be issued if it turns out not to be suitable for you.
