Crafting for Conservation: Live Demonstration of the Ultimate Insect Hotel by Artisan Peter Kabanoff

In recent years, Peter has shifted his building expertise from creating homes for people to crafting shelters for birds, insects, bats, and possums. This change has given Peter the creative freedom to let his imagination soar while addressing critical environmental issues. In a world where much of our natural heritage is under threat, Peter's work is a meaningful contribution to conservation. By using found and recycled materials, Peter transforms discarded items into upcycled, functional art pieces that celebrate sustainability and innovation.

Looking for something fun, free, and family-friendly these school holidays? Join us at the Hawkesbury Earthcare Centre for a day packed with exciting activities for the whole family and nature-filled adventures!

Nature play and ecology-based fun activities for kids to enjoy
Art workshop with Indigenous contemporary artist Jess Munro
