Crafting with spirit workshop_Mount Eliza _1hr Melb
Learn techniques to craft your own natural spirit totem, whether it be a staff, a wand, a medicine rattle, a dream catcher, jewellery, smudging feathers, clap sticks, or adding a little extra magic to something like a medicine drum you have
CONNECTION & GATHERING
Undertake the journey of making with spirit, start with what you have to create, this needs to have meaning to you. You're invited to bring something from nature that is special to you to alchemize into a totem of your calling. This may be as simple as a stick that will become a wand or a staff, or crystals, a stone, a shell, feathers, an animal skull, or beads from a necklace with sentimental value that need to reform into something new. Consider spending time and finding things in nature to see what calls. Before the workshop, i'll also recommend a few nice shops or places to visit for further inspiration.
Now to the day, we'll start with a brief exploration of nature, tuning in with the elements to find objects to create with. When we return you'll also have the opportunity to gather from my own collection of natural objects.
TECHNIQUES TO CREATE
We'll arrive back and feel into what you have and what will form for the day, we'll travel through techniques of design and paractical skills with natural objects so you can make what you have in mind for the day and have technique extending beyond this that you can continue to develop and make. These skills will include.

BINDING and fixing objects together with glue, cord or wire

I have made totems that take a super short time, as well as ones that extend to weeks of creative development. Depending on the nature of the design, it may be that your totem isn't completed on the day, but you'll certainly take home a skill set to do so and the ability to create more with what you've learned.

Many of the instruments he plays he also makes, and he occasionally creates for others. Academically, Brad has been immersed in the esoteric, sound, and meditation for over 25 years. He has a master’s degree in design and an advanced diploma with the sacred sciences foundation amongst other learnings. But more importantly, a belief that the body is a temple and that to celebrate life in a wholesome, quirky, and fun way is so very important. On DesignBrad is a designer, loving the practical side of creation in both traditional and digital manufacturing techniques.
