    Event description

As part of the Cranbrook Academy programme, we will be hosting an evening focused on Southeast Asian politics, featuring Emeritus Professor Greg Fealy. Professor Fealy is a scholar of Indonesian politics and history, specialising in Islam, at the Department of Political & Social Change, which is part of the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs at ANU College of Asia & the Pacific.

He will be speaking on Australia’s relations with Indonesia, Indonesian domestic politics, and country’s upcoming Presidential election. This is a timely event, following the recent launch of the Federal government’s report entitled Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040, and should be of particular interest to IB students of Global Politics at Cranbrook, as well as to students and parents from the local community with a general interest in Australia’s place in the region.

The talk will take place at the Cranbrook Academy (Packer Theatre) at 6pm on Tuesday 21 November.

    Kind regards
