CRC TiME Annual Forum 2023
Event description
We invite you, as a representative of one of our valued partner organisations, to join us for our annual working conference. See further details and program online.
The working forum will provide a unique and tailored opportunity to network with and learn from leaders who share your commitment to transforming mine closure and post-mine transitions for the better.
Held over three days, our 2023 conference will include presentations and discussion of research findings, thought-provoking insights and analysis, and visits to mine sites undergoing rehabilitation. There will also be ample time for networking.Â
How Forum ticketing works
Each CRC TiME partner organisation is invited to register for one complimentary ticket. At the ticketing page under the ticket options, please click 'Access hidden tickets' and input the access code emailed to you. Get in touch if you did not receive the code.
Extra tickets for partner organisations, First Nations organisations, and CRC TiME PhD students are open for purchase.
What's included in your conference ticketÂ
Owing to the regional nature of this year's conference and its emphasis on networking with colleagues, your ticket is inclusive of meals and transport across the three days. We have organised charter buses between your lodgings in the Latrobe Valley, as well as buses to take us around to visit various mine sites and relevant areas.
Where to stay in the Latrobe Valley
For those travelling to the Latrobe Valley from afar, we have placed holds on about 130 rooms at several accommodation options in the area. These vary from basic shared units on Federation University campus to hotel suites in the local area. See accommodation options for more.
Owing to few options and high demand, we strongly recommend booking accommodation soon after you’ve secured a conference ticket. Please contact the accommodation providers directly (do not reserve through booking.com, for instance) and mention the CRC TiME Annual Forum when booking to access rooms on hold.
Parallel AMD Symposium on 23 November
The International Network of Acid Prevention (INAP) will be holding a special AMD Symposium at Federation University, parallel to the CRC TiME Annual Forum, on Thursday 23 November.
Forum attendees are very welcome to join the Symposium proceedings after morning tea, including a Rum Jungle update and presentations on the CRC TiME AMD project and pit lake project.
See the Forum program for more details and reserve a free spot for the Symposium.
