Isn't everything on socials now? A lot of it is, and that's why a bit of print stands out. A flyer in someone's hand isn't competing with a hundred other things on their screen.

And if you've ever had a print job come back with a white edge, this is the morning you find out why. It's Session 4 of a four-part workshop series at the WBA venue in Wanneroo, run by Andy Kahle of AndyK Design.

A print-ready A5 flyer with a QR code, and a clear read on your business card: is it working for you, is it on brand, and what is it saying.

What we'll do

• Look at the ways you can use print: letterbox drops, notice boards, point of sale, the window of your car, and a QR code that leads to a free download

• See what changes between a screen and a printed page: colour, resolution and size

• Learn trim, bleed and the safe zone by building them into your flyer

• Line everything up, and keep the words to what needs to be there

• Add a QR code and test it on your phone

• Work out when to do it yourself, when to hand it over, and what to do with half an idea

• Look at your own business card with fresh eyes

Bring

• Your business card, and a couple of things you've printed

• Your best-quality logo file

• Your brand kit in Canva if you have one, or your logo and colours

• Your laptop, your charger and a working paid Canva login

You don't need ChatGPT this morning.
