    Event description

World Soil Day is 5 December and cycling nutrients is the key to a healthy organic garden. But which system is right for you?

Join Kat Lavers for a look into compost, worms and bokashi, with options for small spaces and renters. Learn the strengths and weaknesses of each, how to avoid common mistakes and diagnose common problems. Compost like a pro – while keeping it simple! There’ll be time at the end to have all your questions answered.

    About the presenter

Kat Lavers is a small space food production specialist, gardening educator and permaculture designer. Her award-winning urban permaculture system, 'The Plummery', is a 1/14th acre block that produces almost all the household’s vegies, herbs, fruit and eggs (more than 450kg in 2020!). When she’s not teaching permaculture and organic gardening, Kat designs urban agriculture projects and education programs with local councils and communities
