Create in Walcha 2026
Description

Create in Walcha provides a range of workshops across the Saturday and Sunday of the October long weekend, 3rd and 4th October 2026.
Workshops start at 9.30am and finish at 4.30pm with a one hour lunch break, providing time for attendees to grab some lunch and have a look around town.
You can choose a single workshop, combine several workshops across the weekend, or fill your Saturday and Sunday with a full creative program. Details of all the workshops can be found at www.walchabusinessgroup.com.au/create-in-walcha
Two-day workshops (attendees can choose one only). Choices include:
Introduction to Acrylics
Hardanger for Beginners
Ukelele for Beginners
One-day workshops (attendees can choose two of these or choose one and match with 2 half day workshops). Choices include:
Growing beyond summer: year-round eating from a cold climate garden (Saturday only)
Felt hat making (Sunday only)
Weave a wall hanging (Saturday workshop)
Weave a circular wall hanging (Sunday Workshop)
Woodturning bowl and texturing (Saturday)
Woodturning - Greenturning (Sunday)
Eco Printing (same workshop each day)
Linoprinting (Saturday only) - note this workshop will be held at 27W Fitzroy St (mainstreet of Walcha, near FoodWorks)
Half-day workshops (attendees can choose up to four workshops or choose two and match with a one-day workshop). Choices include:
Scone making (same workshop each morning 9.30am, 10.30am or 11.30am). Spend an hour at a workshop and the rest of the morning looking around Walcha.
Pottery (same workshop runs across morning and afternoon of both days)
Leatherwork (Saturday afternoon session only 1.30 to 4.30pm)
Join us on the Saturday night from 6pm at the Walcha Bowling Club for the Create in Walcha: Meet the makers dinner.
