Create.Make.Connect: Japanese Seasonal Ornament Workshop
Description
Come along and celebrate the festive season early at Five Dock Library with a FREE Japanese-inspired seasonal ornament (Shimekazari) workshop. Shimekazari is a traditional Japanese New Year decoration made with rice straw and decorated with paper, plants and other items.
In this workshop run by facilitator Izumi Montgomery, you will learn about this Japanese tradition and reinterpret it in your own way with colours and patterns of your choosing.
Your finished ornament can be displayed on a Christmas tree, wall or door and enjoyed through any festive season.
This workshop is for adults.
