Create your own Rain Stick

These coming School Holidays, Join in the fun of creating your very own Bamboo Rain stick.

The History of the Rain stick stems back thousands of years and was used in many indigenous cultures across the world.
The most well-known history of the rain stick is that it was a tool used amongst tribes with the intention of bringing rain.
Today the rain stick has become one of the most beautiful instruments in creating peaceful soundscapes and is also used to accompany meditations and sound healing practices.

The rain stick has been one of the most liked and enjoyed instruments throughout most of my sound healing classes, with the feeling of peace and relaxation as a result of the beautiful sound of gentle rain.  
As such a beautiful, easy to use, portable instrument, I felt called to create this workshop for those wanting to make their very own personalised rain stick.

During this workshop each participant will receive their very own pre-prepared 1m hollow bamboo stick to create their musical instrument.
Everyone will be given the hands on guidance as they use the materials to put together the spiral insert's and sound creators for their rain stick.

They will then have the chance to finish off and seal their rain stick, ready to add their own finishing touches with their chosen artworks and decorations, using paints and other various craft materials INCLUDING THEIR VERY OWN CRYSTAL TO TAKE HOME TOO!

They will leave with their very own, one of a kind rain stick to enjoy wherever they go.

Parents are welcome to join in if you feel your child would benefit from a helping hand.
