Create4Adelaide School Workshops: Poetry and Extinction with Chris Best
Event description
Create4Adelaide, presented by the Adelaide Festival, is excited to invite you to join Christian Best at the South Australian Museum.
Christian Best is a writer and storyteller taking up space on Kaurna Land. In these workshops, Chris will be guiding students through creating a poetic work of art for Create4Adelaide that is inspired by discussion about climate change and its implications.
Drawing on the South Australian Museum’s biological sciences collections, students will be encouraged to respond to C4A’s first priority: extinction of plants and animals.
Launched in 2023, Create4Adelaide is a large-scale, year-long project that encourages young people to develop their creative skills and engage with local climate change priorities. All created works will be submitted to Create4Adelaide’s open call.
Workshops are for secondary students only. All queries are to be directed to Create4Adelaide’s Project Manager, Caitlin Ellen Moore cmoore@adelaidefestival.com.au.
Workshops are capped at 20 students per session.
Please note that these tickets are for school groups only. Individuals can book tickets to the public sessions of this event here.
