Creating A Waterwise Garden
Event description
Urban gardens play a vital role in protecting our wetlands and marine ecosystems.
Join us for a waterwise garden workshop at a beautiful, local, native and waterwise garden in South Bunbury (address supplied to ticket holders only).
Learn hot tips on how to achieve amazing results and prepare your garden for summer. We'll be joined by GeoCatch's Bay OK Program Manager Lisa Massey to discuss the importance of understanding your soil type and how garden practices can help protect the region's waterways. Participants will also hear from gardening expert Jacquie Nichol, who'll explain how to select waterwise native plants and design a water-efficient garden.
**Please note this garden includes an ACTIVE BEEHIVE.
Places are very limited for this topical and informative workshop, so register now to avoid disappointment. Tickets are $15 and include morning tea, many giveaways and the chance to win one of ten $50 native plant vouchers to get your waterwise garden started. All proceeds support the Leschenault Estuary Connect Program.
Unfortunately this event is not wheelchair accessible. Please get in touch if you have any concerns regarding accessibility.
The Leschenault Estuary Connect Program is made possible through generous funding support from Lotterywest, helping build a better WA together, and Water Corporation.
