Creating Canopies in Canterbury/ Bankstown

🌳 Help Create a Cooler, Greener, Greater Sydney - Come Tree Planting with Greater Sydney Landcare!

Take part in a hands-on day of tree planting in Canterbury/ Bankstown. You'll help cool our suburbs, create vital habitat for birds & wildlife, and connect with your community.

Whether it'll be your first time planting or you're a seasoned bushcarer, everyone's welcome! No experience needed. It's a family-friendly day out.

We provide all tools, gardening gloves, training and a free lunch (usually sandwiches/wraps, plus a sweet treat 🍪).

You'll get to:

• Enjoy time outdoors (great for your heath & wellbeing)

This planting is part of the Creating Canopies project—a partnership between Landcare NSW and Greater Sydney Landcare to plant 300,000 native trees between 2020-2025 as part of the Greening our City program to help mitigate urban heat in Greater Sydney. Proudly funded by the NSW Government.
