When we dig beneath the surface of our characters—exploring their fears, dreams, and inner contradictions—we begin to understand the true essence of storytelling. This workshop will give participants practical tools to create characters that are not just names on a page, but complex beings with rich inner lives. Through learning about architecture that gives these characters room to breathe, grow, and transform, writers will map their characters' journeys, understand their deepest motivations, and craft narrative structures that reveal their most authentic selves and keep readers turning the page.

Create compelling, three-dimensional characters
Discover your character's goals and motivations
Use character strengths and weaknesses to create conflict

Format

This is an online workshop with a focus on craft; it will be hosted via Zoom. This workshop is suitable for fiction writers of all levels and writing backgrounds.
