Event description

We warmly welcome Johnny Prefumo, The Frog Doctor, back to the show again this year.

Johnny is an Environmental Biologist with over 50 years of experience with our native critters. He forged his love of frogs as a young boy, venturing out to his local wetlands with his net and bucket to see what was out and about.

Fast forward a few years and things are no different, basically he has not grown up and is still getting out and dirty and studying our frogs all the other critters that live in our natural areas.

Frogs teach us a lot about all aspects of our environment. They live in the air, on land and in water. You can’t see them in isolation. They connect them with other animals and plants at some stage. Creating a habitat for frogs also encourages many small beneficial birds, insects, reptiles and mammals to our gardens and in-turn these creatures perform natural pest control and pollination services. This is perfect synergy for your fruit and veggie garden.

Come and see how to encourage and keep these important critters in your patch. Reserve your seats now for this popular talk.
