Creating Safe Spaces: Survivors of Suicide Loss
This virtual two part training is interactive, including breakout sessions. Up to 3 CE hours--see board information below.
Part 1: 05/19/23 12:00pm-1:30pm EST (1.5 CE hours)
First, we will explore key terminology related to suicide and suicide loss survivors. Then, we will participate in an activity to increase counselor self-awareness. Next, we will discuss mental health for survivors of suicide loss. Finally, we will explore actionable steps you can take to support survivor of suicide loss clients
Part 2: 06/16/23 12:00pm-1:30pm EST (1.5 CE hours)
First, we will check-in on successes and areas to improve regarding actionable steps you have taken from part 1. Then, we will discuss counseling interventions for survivors of suicide loss. Finally, we will have open time for questions and answers

Creating Safe Spaces: Survivors of Suicide Loss falls under the North Carolina Psychology Board's Category B Continuing Education for the following categories: (A) training in empirically supported assessment or treatment; (F) training in best practice standards and guidelines.
