Creating Safe Spaces: Transgender and Gender Nonbinary Folx

This virtual two part training is interactive, including breakout sessions. Up to 3 CE hours--see board information below.

Part 1: 07/14/23 12:00pm-1:30pm EST (1.5 CE hours)

First, we will explore the differences between biological sex, gender identity, and gender expression. Then, we will participate in an activity to increase counselor self-awareness. Next, we will discuss mental health for the transgender/ gender nonbinary community. Finally, we will explore actionable steps you can take to support transgender/ gender nonbinary clients.

Part 2: 08/11/23 12:00pm-1:30pm EST (1.5 CE hours)

First, we will check-in on successes and areas to improve regarding actionable steps you have taken from part 1. Then, we will discuss counseling interventions for the transgender/ gender nonbinary community. Finally, we will have open time for questions and answers.

Continuing Education Information

Creating Safe Spaces: Transgender/Gender Nonbinary Folx has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit. C&C Resourcing, Inc. is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-4142.

Currently, the NCSWCLB considers live/synchronous webinars in which participants and instructor may engage in live interactive dialogue that benefits all practitioners as equivalent to an attended training. A certificate of attendance will be provided. Verification of live interaction can be provided if requested.

Creating Safe Spaces: Transgender and Gender Nonbinary Folx falls under the North Carolina Psychology Board's Category B Continuing Education for the following categories: (A) training in empirically supported assessment or treatment; (F) training in best practice standards and guidelines.

Refund policy

Cancellation/Refunds/Substitutions Cancellations must be in writing (fax, email, or mail). Registrants cancelling between two weeks and two full business days prior to the first day of the event are "refunded at 70% of the registration fee subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee." No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than two full business days prior to the event. Cancellations greater than 2 weeks prior to the event will receive 100% refund. No vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund. Transfers/substitute(s) welcome (notify in advance of the program).
