It will provide innovative, collaborative approaches for making it happen in various contexts, from regional towns through to suburbs and inner-city locations.

Local government Directors, Managers, Coordinators and Officers are encouraged to attend, particularly those from:

Background

In an Australian-first, Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) is sponsoring free online placemaking training to all local government staff and Elected Members in WA.

Placemaking is both a strategic approach and a practical process for creating positive changes, both within your organisation and in the community. The workshop complements and adds to the online courses available via Placemaking.Education. It builds on the existing work of some local governments and helps to scale these kinds of initiatives across the state.
