Creating Thriving Wheatbelt Communities By locals for Locals
This is a free and inclusive placemaking learning event that will offer a series of engaging and interactive hands-on activities, presentations and workshops that will support anyone interested in building their community and connecting with like-minded doers! Including but not limited to local and state government staff, volunteers, community group members, town teamers, landowners and local business staff and owners!
You will learn (and share!):
- Engage and connect your community through doing lighter, quicker and cheaper initiatives that make an impact on your town
- Bringing your community together to work better
- Take an idea from inception into action - By making it happen!
- Pickup some practical tips and ideas in placemaking and community making
THURSDAY 5th of October, 10.30am to 4.00pm
Bencubbin Community Resource Centre
Series of inspiring workshops, including moving tea and lunch.
- 10.30am - registration, coffee and morning tea
- 11am - opening session
- 12.30pm - lunch
- 1pm - workshops
- 3pm - networking and refreshments
